Alicia Sornosa, who travelled by motorbike, to cancel out all the gases produced by the motorbike during her journey to take aid to Nepal. In 2016, Alicia Sornosa, a correpondent of Twenergy, went on a long solidary trip form Spain to Nepal to raise funds for two NGOs working in Nepal. The Twenergy wood will comensate for the emissions produced by the vehicles taking part in this journey, just over 18 tons of CO2. We’re here today to do an activity with children. We’re going to Sylvestris Representative

reforest a site in the Comunnity of Madrid called “La Atalaya” that suffered a fire im 2012 with 300 trees of different species. During the first years, Endesa will undertake the maintenance work to guarantee the density of trees in the wood. These 300 trees are a symbol. They are linked to Twenergy’s solidarity project, developed in 2016, in wich we’re planting a tree for each of the 200 sponsors Twenergy Representative
DANIEL ROMERO

who helped in the crowdfunding to raise funds for two NGOs located in Nepal and for each of the children that these NGOs take in the city of Kathmandu. The tree species planted are the best for this type of terrain: holm oaks, stone pines, pyrenean oaks ash, willow and arbutus or strawberry trees. The idea of this plantation is to capture CO2 in the next 30 or 40 years; in total, we calculate approximately 40 tons of CO2, and the idea is to register it at the Spanish Climate Change Office Registry, tu put on record that this reforestation of a fire-affected area has been performed for this purpose. It’s not only restoring the woodland and replacing the trees killed by the fire, but additionally, these trees are going to capture CO2 in the future, mitigating climate change as much as possible.
