“Agriculture Can be Part of the Solution”- Global Climate Action Day on Agriculture

We cannot stop agriculture because we would all die of hunger if we did. We already have 800 million people who suffer from hunger. We need agriculture and we need to solve climate change if want to achieve Zero Hunger. But agriculture can be part of the solution, agriculture can reduce emissions and we can also stop wasting our food. We can produce more food with less resources. And agriculture can also be part of the solution because we can store carbon from the atmosphere into agricultural soils. So Feeding India is a youth-run not-for- profit that works towards solving hunger and malnutrition. By redistributing excess food from restaurants and local eateries such as weddings and functions, we redistribute food to people in need, and with an army of 8,000 volunteers working in 55 cities We serve more than 10 million people in need, that’s what Feeding is about. A lot of people call food waste the dumbest problem in our world really, and that is because we have progressed so far but if you think about the most fundamental commodity in the world, it’s actually food and we don’t appreciate it so much. So food waste is really the dumbest problem that exists on the planet today. The best part about solving food waste is that individuals can do so much By simply buying food which is more sustainable, greener products, more local products, which we produce within our cities or countries. I feel that’s a simple course of action for people to take No, matter where they are, and what they do.
